A woman has become an online sensation after footage circulated of her sprinting through the streets in Urumqi, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with many expressing amazement at her speed.
"I run because I have trouble getting up, and I need to arrive at work on time," the woman said. Her home is close to the company, but as she finds it difficult to get up early, she has to run as fast as she can to get to the office.
Her boss and colleagues are usually amused and amazed to see her dashing at full speed, and sometimes even arrive early and sit by the windows just to take videos of her.
After the video clip went viral, some netizens on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo said they saw themselves in the woman when they rush to work every morning.
"It is a pity that a woman who runs so fast has not taken part in the Olympics," one netizen joked, while others reminded of her safety when crossing the streets.
