Northwest China's Qinghai Province on Sunday launched a months-long promotion to boost its winter-and-spring plateau tourism market.
According to the provincial department of culture and tourism, the campaign will introduce 100 eco-cultural routes covering 155 scenic areas and tourist attractions in all eight cities and autonomous prefectures across Qinghai.
Tsering Tai, deputy director of the department, said that 334 activities including folk customs, self-driving tour, ice and snow tourism, photography tour and intangible cultural heritage will be promoted.
All scenic areas across Qinghai will offer lower ticket prices during the promotional event that will last until April 2021. More than 300 star hotels in the province will offer discounts this winter and spring.
The department will also co-organize livestreaming promotions and an online exhibition of Thangka paintings with institutions in the Republic of Korea and Myanmar in December, further enhancing international exchanges and cooperation, Tsering said.
