Chinese Customs suspended import declarations of five cold-chain products from Indian and Indonesian suppliers for one week, according to a release by the General Administration of Customs on Thursday. Related emergency preventive measures have been initiated.
Customs officials suspended import declarations from Indian seafood producer B-ONE BUSINESS HOUSE PVT.LT for one week after traces of coronavirus were detected in a sample of frozen white shrimp which originated from South America, according to a release by the General Administration of Customs.
The remaining instances of positive tests originated from Indonesia. Customs authorities suspended import declarations from two Indonesia seafood producers: PT.CITA KARYA AGUNG and PT.STARFOOD INTERNATIONAL following packaging on a batch of frozen hairtail and fish paste tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, Chinese Customs suspended import declarations from the Argentine beef producer Ecocarnes S.A for one week after coronavirus was detected on packaging for frozen deboned beef products, according to a release by the General Administration of Customs.
