China Mobile was the country's top performing State-owned enterprise (SOE) last year, according to a report issued Wednesday by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council. The telecoms giant was followed by resource giants, China National Offshore Oil Corp, China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC)

Of the 118 State-owned companies evaluated by the SASAC, 46 were awarded A-level status, the highest grade.
