A 10-year-old boy has caught several fish with needle-shaped noses from Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The silvery white fish were quite slender, and their noses pointed and long, just like sewing needles. A staff member at Xuanwu Lake management office recognized the fish as whitebait, but noted that they do not normally live in Xuanwu Lake. He guessed that the whitebait might have come from the Yangtze River.
