Chinese Naval Training Vessel "Zheng He" arrived at Muara Port of Brunei Tuesday morning, commencing its friendly visit to the country for the next four days.

Chinese High Commissioner Zheng Xianglin and Brunei Navy Fleet Commander Lt. Col. Norazmi, together with hundreds of people, attended the welcoming ceremony.

During the visit, senior officers of the voyage will be paying an official visit to Brunei's Ministry of Defence, Royal Arm Forces and Navy leaders, meanwhile the soldiers will hold friendly mixed group matches of football, volleyball and other water sports with the local navy soldiers. The vessel is also open to the public for tour.

After ending its visit to Indonesia on Sept. 7, the vessel left for Brunei, making it the fourth visit of Chinese Navy Fleet to the country after 2003, 2009 and 2011.

With the mission named "Harmonious Mission: Global Voyage of Zheng He", the vessel set sailed in Dalian, northeatern city of China, on April 16, 2012. It had visited Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Italy, Spain, Canada, Ecuador, Tonga, Indonesia and other ports. Brunei is the last destination for the voyage before leaving for China.

"Zheng He" Vessel is China's first training ship and is named after a famed Chinese maritime explorer, who helped extend Chinese maritime and commercial influence in 15th century throughout the regions bordering the Indian Ocean.

Brunei Darussalam, located on Borneo island, South of South China Sea, is a country that mainly exports crude oil and natural gas. Muara Port is located Northeast Coastal of Brunei, built in 1973 and is the largest port of the country.
