Cote d'Ivoire's ex-Prime Minister Jeannot Ahoussou who served between March to November 2012, was on Wednesday appointed as a state minister in the office of the president, Xinhua heard from an official source.

The appointment brought the total number of ministers in Cote d'Ivoire's new government that was formed on November 21, 2012, to 30.

Ahoussou who also held the Justice docket, had been named as the prime minister on March 13, 2012 and was replaced by Daniel Kablan Duncan on November 21, 2012.
