Greek Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that available information pointed to the death of a Greek national abducted in Nigeria along with six others in February by a local terrorist group.
"Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos communicated with the victim's mother, to whom he expressed his and the state's grief and undivided support in these difficult hours," the ministry said in a press release.
The Greek citizen was employed by the Lebanese company Setraco and was working in Bauchi, in northern Nigeria, when armed perpetrators attacked the compound where company personnel resided and abducted seven persons- a Briton, a Greek, an Italian and four Lebanese.
