The discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Saturday that a senior official in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is under investigation for suspected disciplinary violations.
Li Daqiu was vice chairman of the Guangxi Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of the Guangxi Federation of Trade Unions, according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
This has been the third consecutive week for the anti-graft authority to announce investigations into senior officials.
The CCDI said on June 23 that Guo Yongxiang, chairman of Sichuan's provincial federation of literary and art circles, was being investigated for suspected disciplinary violations.
Guo had formerly been a member of the standing committee of the CPC Sichuan provincial committee and a vice governor of Sichuan Province.
Wang Suyi, former head of the United Front Work Department under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Committee of the CPC, was also investigated for suspected disciplinary violations, the CCDI announced on June 30.
