An audacious and disciplined Cape Verde team eliminated Tunisia from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after beating the North African team 2-0 in Tunis on Saturday.

Cape Verde opened the score at the 28th minute through Platini and doubled it on the 42nd by Hilton.

The Tunisians who needed a draw to make the final playoff round in Africa, were never able to pose serious problems to Cape Verde's solid defense.

The victory obtained in the third qualifying round enables Cape Verde to the 10-team African zone home-and-away playoffs for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
