Two police buildings in Turkey's capital of Ankara were hit by rockets on Friday night, Turkish Today's Zaman reported Saturday.
The attack against the buildings, which belong to Turkey's national police directorate in the district of Dikmen, caused no casualties but some material damage, according to Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Guler.
"The perpetrators fired the rockets from the bushes on the pavement of the road. We have found an unexploded rocket, a backpack and a piece of fabric belonging to an illegal organization," Guler told reporters.
"We assumed the suspects had escaped to the Dikmen Valley," the minister said.
Dikmen is one of the places across Turkey where anti-government protests have flared in recent months.
