Cambodia has reported a 45 percent increase in dry rubber exports in the first eight months of the year, the figures of the Ministry of Commerce showed Saturday.

From January to August this year, the country had exported 45, 530 tons of dry rubber, up 45 percent from 31,400 tons over the same period last year, the figures said.

Revenues from the exports were about 110 million US dollars during the first eight months of this year, up 11 percent from 99 million dollars at the same period last year.

The best quality rubber latex traded for 2,637 dollars a ton on Saturday, down 17 percent compared with 3,197 dollars a ton at this time last year, according to the International Rubber Price.

Cambodian rubber has been exported to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and China.

Last year, the country exported 54,530 tons of dry rubber, earning 158 million dollars.
