The chief executive officers (CEO) of global firms began their Pre-CEO Summit Conference in Bali on Saturday.
The CEO Summit will start on Sunday with about 1,200 CEOs from all over the world planning to discuss the direction and prospects of the global economy.
The business leaders hold discussion about the world economy for two-days before the 21st APEC summit opens on Oct. 7 with the theme of "Resilient Asia-Pacific, Engine of Global Growth," Chairman of Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Mahendra Siregar said.
Siregar and Indonesian Finance Minister Chatib Basri made speeches about the challenges and opportunity of investment in Indonesia.
The finance minister said the risk must be calculated over the US plan to taper its quantitative easing policy.
"The most important thing is that we need to be ready on that (the tapering)," he said.
