Long known as a travel destination for natural beauty and cultural heritage, Thailand’s capital is quickly becoming a celebrated shopper’s paradise.

As a new shopping district, Central Bangkok is designed to be the luxury one-stop shop in the heart of the capital. Surrounded by four main thoroughfares – Ploenchit, Rajadamri, Rama 4 and Wireless Road – the district boasts a collection of department stores such as Central Chidlom, ZEN and CentralWorld, as well as embassies and renowned five-star hotels from Centara Grand to St. Regis.

Shopaholics can indulge in their addiction in the many A-list luxury brand stores on offer, from LV and Gucci to Giorgio Armani and Burberry. Although not as reasonably priced as in the West or Hong Kong, the shopping district is still competitive when compared with the Chinese mainland.

For those looking to pick up something more unique, Central Bangkok also boasts a number of local brands and flagship stores, such as women’s designers Saya and Fly Now, men’s tailors Button Up and spa specialists Harnn & Thann.

From dresses and lingerie to accessories such as Thailand’s well-known Naraya bags, the shopping district offers something to fit any budget. And for those overwhelmed by the amount of choice available, many department store offers personal stylists to help better navigate the latest fashions.

An equally exciting feature of Central Bangkok is the wide range of restaurants serving not only exquisite Thai, but also many of the world’s most celebrated cuisines.

For fresh Japanese sashimi and fusion Chinese, Heaven provides intimate and peaceful atmosphere perfect for business dinners and dates. Situated high in the ZEN World Tower, the wall of French windows provide a breathtaking view of the Bangkok skyline.

After a day of taking in the nearby tourist sites that dot the area, such as the famed Lumpini National Park, reward yourself with the soothing lemon-grass fragrances of the many spas and massage centers in Central Bangkok for the perfect end to an unforgettable experience.
