Nigeria has concluded arrangements to camp its senior women team ahead of the 2014 FIVB World Women's Championship Zonal Qualifiers, a top federation official said on Saturday.
Secretary-General of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Adisa Beyioku told reporters in Abuja, the country's capital city, that the camping is to enable them prepare adequately for the five-day qualifiers.
The zonal qualifiers, which has Nigeria grouped alongside Cote d'Ivoire and Togo in Zone 3, will hold from November 27 to December 1 in Cote d'Ivoire.
"We have started plans for the senior women's team to start a camping program ahead of the zonal qualifiers in Cote d'Ivoire," he added.
"I am optimistic that when they resume, we will come out with a good team that will qualify and be one of Africa's flag bearers at the World Championship in 2014," Beyioku said.
