An evening gala was held on Monday in Central China's Hunan Province to mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of late leader
Mao Zedong.
The show in the provincial capital Changsha was attended by more than 2,000 people, including Mao's relatives, and featured performances of revolutionary songs and recitals from Mao's classic works.
Mao was born on Dec. 26 in 1893 in Shaoshan Village of Hunan Province. As a founder of the People's Republic of China, Mao is one of the most influential figures in China's modern history.
