The Colombian Air Force (FAC) on Tuesday confirmed that a pilot was killed and another aboard injured after a fighter-bomber Kfir crashed in central colombia.
The accident occurred at 16:53 local time (2353 GMT) when the FAC aircraft was on a training mission and then crashed to the ground in Norcasia, a municipality in the central Caldas department, according to Colombia's El Tiempo daily network.
The pilot was killed, and another managed to be ejected from the aircraft and was later rescued and taken to a nearby military medical unit.
Investigation is underway to determine the causes of the accident.
In September 2013, a Kfir aircraft crashed near the Magdalena River in Puerto Salgar municipality, located in Colombia's central Cundinamarca department.
