At least 20 people were killed and many others injured when two passenger vans rammed into an oil tanker and a dumper in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday morning, local media reported.
PTV channel said that the accident happened when two passenger vans with over 100 people on board collided with an oil tanker near Gadani checkpost in Hub district in Balochistan province.
Police said that the vans were coming from opposite direction as one of them was on its way to the southern port city of Karachi while the other was heading to Quetta city.
Huge fire erupted due to explosion of oil tanker which engulfed both passenger vans.
The injured people were admitted to a nearby hospital where several of them were said to be in critical condition.
Hospital sources said that the bodies were completely burnt and could not be identified.
Fire fighters put out the blaze but police has not cleared the vans yet as the temperature inside is still very high.
Rescue teams said that the death toll may further rise as some bodies have not been recovered.
