Former National Rugby League (NRL) forward Ryan Tandy has been found dead from a drug overdose, Australian media reported Monday.

The 32-year-old former Canterbury prop was found at his parents' home on the New South Wales central coast, reports said.

Tandy was punished in 2010 for attempting to manipulate a match against North Queensland by giving away a penalty in the opening moments of a game and was later banned for life by the NRL. He played 36 NRL matches for five clubs from 2003.

His death was not being treated as suspicious, reports said citing a police statement.
