A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson here Sunday refuted a Japanese media report that says China's military experts are working on emergency plans to deal with the collapse of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
"The report made wild guesses, and was groundless and with ulterior motives," the spokesperson said in response to a journalist's question.
The spokesperson said that China's stance on relevant issues concerning the Korean peninsula was "clear."
"We hope the Korean Peninsula to maintain stability, and hope the DPRK to achieve economic development and people's happiness," the spokesperson said.
