Wei Jian, an official with the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, is being investigated for suspected serious violation of disciplines and laws, the commission announced on its website on May 9.

Wei is a director of the commission's No.4 office of discipline inspection and supervision, it said.
