China's top legislature on April 24 confirmed that three lawmakers have been dismissed from their posts as National People's Congress (NPC) deputies while another one has resigned.
Jin Daoming, former vice chairman of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, was dismissed on March 2 this year for suspected "serious violation of discipline and law," whereas Ding Xuefeng, former mayor of Lyuliang City in Shanxi Province, was expelled on the same day over suspected "serious violation of discipline."
In addition, Liang Yaohui, board chairman of Energy China Group was also stripped of his membership of the 12th NPC over "suspected criminal offences" on April 14, announced the NPC Standing Committee.
Another NPC deputy, Wang Chuncheng, has meanwhile resigned, according to the announcement.
Wang, board chairman of Chuncheng Industry and Trade Group Co. Ltd. in Liaoning Province, has stepped down over suspected "serious violation of discipline and law." His resignation was accepted by the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress on April 10.
The NPC currently has 2,979 deputies.
