Top 14 club Bayonne on Wednesday unveiled Australian Patricio Noriega as its new coach, along with assistant Nicolas Morlaes.

Noriega, 41, is a former prop who played interna­tionally for Argentina and Australia, and has been coaching in Paris for the last two seasons, firstly with Racing-Metro and then Stade Francais.

Noriega signed a two-year deal with Bayonne and will be helped in the Basque country by ex-­scrumhalf Morlaes, 35, who steps up from the club's youth teams.
