Chinese mainland's chief of Taiwan affairs Zhang Zhijun set off on Wednesday morning for a four-day visit to Taiwan.

During his visit from June 25 to 28, Zhang is scheduled to meet Taiwan's mainland affairs chief Wang Yu-chi.

It is the second meeting between the two officials this year. Wang visited the mainland in February.

Zhang is scheduled to visit New Taipei City, Taichung, Kaohsiung and meet the mayors of the three cities. He is also expected to visit Changhua County.
