Brazil's road to Maracana may become rocky as their top scorer Neymar injured his low back despite their 2-1 win over Colombia in quarterfinals here on Friday.

Coach Scolari was hopeless when asked about Neymar's injury at the press conference after the match.

"I don' t think he will be able to play the next match," he said, "for the match against Germany it will be very difficult for him based on what the doctor said. It might be that he could play in the final, but the next match is on the 8th, I don' t think he can make it."

In the 84th minute, Neymar went down under Zuniga's challenge. The Brazil's top scorer looked in pain and was carried off on a stretcher. Camera caught the scene that the 22-year-old burst into tears when he was carried off the pitch.

"He has been sent to a private clinic with the doctor because he was kneed in his lower back. He was crying in pain. It won' t be easy for him to recover based on the fact that it's a back injury with the pain. But I hope everything goes OK." Scolari said.
