France is ready to contribute to the international effort to determine the circumstances of the crash of Flight MH17 in Ukraine, said French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Secretary of State for Transport, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Frederic Cuvillier in a joint statement Friday.
After the crash of an airliner carrying 298 people on board in eastern Ukraine, everything must be done to "shed light on the causes of this tragedy," said the statement.
Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA), the French authority responsible for safety investigations into accidents in civil aviation, in coordination with its European counterparts, has appointed two experts who are willing to participate in an international survey.
BEA is willing to put the technical means of his laboratory at the disposal of the investigation, including the reading of flight recorders ("black boxes"), according to the same statement.
