New Zealand forward Alex Tulou has extended his contract with Top 14 club Montpellier until 2017, the southcoast outfit confirmed Wednesday.

The Samoan-born New Zealander joined Montpellier during the 2010-11 season from Bourgoin and has now scored 20 tries in 81 matches for the top-flight club.

Montpellier are currently third in the Top 14 standings, five points behind leaders Clermont after six matches.
