Defending champions Russia beat Serbia 28-26, 25-18, 25-18 to grab the last ticket for the third round of the FIVB Women's World Championship on Sunday.

Russia joined Brazi, Italy, China, the United States and the Dominican Republic to make the final six of this event.

The drawing of lots for the final round will take place on Monday.

Italy, who beat China 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-17 on Sunday, will serve as the top seed in Pool G, while Brazil, who beat the United States in straight sets, are the top seed in Pool H.

As part of the drawing of lots, China, the United States, the Dominican Republic and Russia will all be placed in the same container. The first and third team drawn will go into Pool G with Italy, while the second and fourth teams drawn will go into Pool H with Brazil.
