China's swimmer Ning Zetao won the men's 100 meters freestyle­ final at the Chinese national swimming championships by an Asian record-breaking 47.65 seconds in Huangshan, East China's Anhui ­Province on Friday.

Ning's compatriot Sun Yang did not participate in the final.

The 21-year-old navy athlete set the previous Asian record of 47.70 seconds by himself at the 100 meters freestyle­ final during the Incheon Asian Games last month.
