Scotland coach Vern Cotter made four injury-induced changes to his side when he announced his team Thursday to play Tonga in Kilmarnock, Scotland on Saturday.

In the backs, 90-cap Glasgow Warrior Sean Lamont, who came on in the 13th minute of last week's 24-16 defeat by world champions New Zealand, retains his place while fit-again wing Tim Visser starts in place of the injured Sean Maitland [hamstring].

Up front, tighthead prop Geoff Cross and No.8 Johnnie Beattie replace Euan Murray and Adam Ashe.

Saturday's match, which takes place at the Rugby Park home ground of Scottish Premiership soccer club Kilmarnock, will be the first major international rugby union Test to be played on a purely synthetic pitch.
