China beat South Koera 7- 5 to win an international women's curling tournament on Monday.
The Chinese team of Liu Sijia, Liu Jinli, Yu Xinna and Yao Mingyue, who beat the South Koreans 10-8 in early rounds, jumped to a 7-1 lead and hang on to the 7-5 victory over the rivals, who downed the United States 6-4 earlier.
Chinese head coach Zhang Wei regarded the tournament as "a timely test" for the Chinese team, which is led by 29-year-old Yu, ahead of the world championships in March.
Zhang said the Chinese team lacks experience and needs to toughen their mentality.
In the third-place playoff, the United States beat Chinese local team Harbin 11-4.
