Compensation for teachers in rural primary and high schools should be 20 percent to 30 percent higher than their counterparts in cities. It is not a sustainable solution to require teachers to stay in the rural areas merely out of the spirit of devotion and sacrifice. We can use the Internet to bring quality urban education resources to the rural areas.
