The Party chief of Kunming, Yunnan Province has been probed for "severely violating discipline and the law," the provincial disciplinary watchdog announced on Friday. 

Gao Jinsong, 51, became the Kunming Party chief in August 2014, succeeding Zhang Tianxin, who was dismissed for disciplinary violation in July 2014.
