At press conferences on Friday, two top streaming sites in China, Tencent Video and Sohu TV announced that long-anticipated TV drama Tiger Mom will be available for streaming on the two sites starting on May 3.

In order to target international audiences, Tencent Video has produced an international trailer for countries like the US, Canada and Singapore. According to the editor-in-chief at Tencent Video, Wang Juan, this marks the first time that the production company and streaming site will launch a global debut for a Chinese TV series. 

Marking actress-turned-director Zhao Wei's return to small screens, the drama sees Zhao team up with actor Tong Dawei to play a couple raising their only daughter after she enters primary school and focuses on the issues they and other parents in China encounter.
