A truck carrying 35 tonnes of tires caught fire early Saturday morning, disrupting traffic on a highway linking Shanghai with southwest China's Kunming City.
The fire broke out at 3:15 a.m. on the Yongning section of the highway, in Anshun City, in southwest China's Guizhou Province. Traffic access between Yongning Station and Gangwu Station was suspended.
This is the second truck fire on the Shanghai-Kunming highway within two months.
On April 10, a truck carrying 24 tonnes of tires caught fire, causing the highway to close for 11 hours.
