The Wenzhou Party committee in Zhejiang Province said Thursday it will launch an operation to ferret out Party members who have religious beliefs, news portal chinanews.com reported on Thursday.
The committee said they will tackle the problem of some Party members secretly practice religion, focusing on people working in the field of public health and education including universities. Whoever loses loyalty in the Party will be expelled. The daily performance of potential Party members and the possibility that they practice a religion will be examined. Despite Party constitution states CPC members should not believe in any religion, some do after joining the Party.
