Top seed Chen Long will face R. M. V. Gurusaidutt, second seed Lin Dan will face Vicktor Axelsen and Wang Zhengming will take on Parupalli Kashyap.

In the women's draw, number one seed Li Xuerui will verse Karin Schnasse, Wang Shixian will take on Hsu Ya Ching and Wang Yihan will verse P. V. Sindhu in their opening matches on Wednesday.
