A military plane crashed Tuesday in the northwestern province of Yalova in Turkey, private Dogan News Agency reported.

The plane, which took off from Taskopru airbase in Yalova for a training task, broke down and crashed during an emergency landing in a fruit garden in the region, according to the report.

The two pilots survived with minor injuries as they ejected out of the plane, said the report, adding that a crane is currently clearing the wreckage.

An investigation into the cause of the plane crash is underway, said the report.
