Matan Vilnai, the ambassador of Israel to China, visited Beijing Language and Culture University on Wednesday to promote reading and exchange ideas with students.

Ambassador Vilnai gave a lecture to students introducing  science, culture and education in Israel, sharing the countries unique characteristics and giving examples of how Jewish people have achieved substantial success when it comes to innovation.

After the lecture, students were able to satisfy their curiosity about Israel by asking questions of the ambassador during a Q&A session.

The event was co-organized by the Global Times and Beijing Language and Culture University and supported by the Embassy of Israel in China.

The Global Times will continue to organize such events to promote culture exchange with other countries.
