The award winning Asia Bistro restaurant in JW Marriott Beijing in Chaoyang district is hosting a Korean Food Festival from August 3 to 15, where guests can spoil their taste buds with one of the world's finest cuisines.
This food festival is co-hosted with Korea Agro-Trade Center and the Korean Cultural Center, China in an effort to present authentic Korean cuisine and an unparalleled dining experience to foodies in Beijing.
"We are honored to host such a meaningful event to introduce traditional Korean gourmet food to Chinese communities," said Richard Saul, managing director of JW Marriott Beijing. "Korea has a rich culinary heritage, filled with foods of distinct character. We will invite guest chefs from JW Marriott Seoul to bring the most authentic Korean gourmet food to Beijing."
Korean food is attracting more and more foodies from around the world. South Korea's cuisine is varied, spicy and emphasizes on healthy eating. Kimchi, or pickled cabbage, is the national dish, and is vital to any meal in the country. Another famous Korean specialty is bulgogi, or barbecued meat.
During the Korean food festival, guests will enjoy a variety of dishes and drinks from Korea, featuring world-famous kimchi fried rice, Korean cold noodles, live preparation of bibimbap (rice mixed with meat and assorted vegetables), traditional rice cakes and much more.
Guest Chef Yun Sang-bum from JW Marriott Seoul has over 20 years of culinary experience. Another Guest Chef Kim Dae-jin has a lot of experience as a visiting chef to Korean food festivals in many countries and has contributed to promote Korean gourmet culture. Both chefs are passionate about the festival and cannot wait to bring vibrant Korean food to Beijing.
Providing a consistently warm and unique experience to hotel guests is the highest mission at JW Marriott Hotel Beijing. The Korean Food Festival is part of an effort to offer guests the chance to enjoy tasty and exotic cuisines from other parts of the world while they are staying in Beijing.
