Chinese port city Tianjin stops Tuesday morning to mourn for the more than 100 who died from last week's warehouse blasts.

Horns of the cargo ships at the port wailed in grief, while people in seven venues stood in silence to mourn at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, the seventh day after the accident.

According to Chinese tradition, the seventh day after one's death is an occasion for the relatives and friends to mourn the passing of their loved one.

Two explosions ripped through a warehouse storing hundreds of tons of toxic chemicals last Wednesday night. Death toll from the accident has risen to 114, with 698 people hospitalized and 70 still unaccounted for.
