An anti-terrorist formation consisting of 18 armored police vehicles will be showcased in the military parade on September 3 in Beijing, military sources revealed on Friday.

Completed in May, the white and olive-green vehicles will be the newest in the parade.

The formation also includes 104 armed police officers  from the elite Snow Leopard Commando force, the first time it has appeared in China's annual military parade.

Eleven infantry formations, 27 artillery, tank, or mechanized infantry formations, 10 aircraft formations and two groups of veterans will be included in the parade, which commemorates the 70th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the end of WWII.
