Polish media widely reported on Thursday the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the world's anti-Fascist war held in Beijing on Thursday.

Polish Parliamentary Speaker of the Sejm, Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, represented the country during the event.

Polish media made a thorough reports on the celebrations held in Beijing, especially focusing on the massive military parade.

Polish TV station TVN24 cited Chinese President Xi Jinping's announcement of China's reducing its military forces by 300,000 soldiers. The media underlined the leader's words saying China was committed to upholding peace.

"China will remain committed to peaceful development. We Chinese love peace. No matter how much stronger it may become, China will never seek hegemony or expansion. It will never inflict its suffering on any other nation."

The Polish Press Agency quoted President Xi as saying that "the experience of war makes people value peace all the more".
