Denmark's national football coach on Monday announced the lineup that will represent the country at the upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying play-offs against Sweden in mid-November.
At a press meeting held in Broendby of Denmark, Morten Olsen announced 23 names of the Danish squad for the play-off matches against Sweden to qualify for Euro 2016, saying that he would choose another 2 or 3 players in case of injury.
Jonas Lossl, Kasper Schmeichel, Stephan Andersen were selected as goalkeepers, while Pione Sisto, Viktor Fischer, Martin Braitwaite, Nicklas Bendtner, Nicolai Joergensen and Yussuf Poulsen will play in the front.
The midfield positions went to Christian Eriksen, Jakob Poulsen, Leon Andreasen, Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg, Michael Krohn-Dehli, William Kvist and Thomas Kahlenberg.
Andreas Christensen, Daniel Agger, Daniel Wass, Jannik Vestergaard, Lars Jacobsen, Riza Durmisi and Simon Kjaer were selected to play in defence.
The new faces in the squad compared to the last national match are Viktor Fischer, Andreas Christensen and Leon Andreasen.
The play-off ties are over two legs, with the away goals rule applied if scores are level.
The first leg will take place in Stockholm, capital of Sweden, on November 14, and the return leg is scheduled for November 17 in Copenhagen of Denmark.
Denmark last won the UEFA European Championship in 1992, when it beat Germany in the final. It has played Sweden 104 times, won 40, drawn 19 and lost 45.
