Beijing will supply heating to its residents starting this weekend, and if citizens find their tap water has become too hot or salty, they should call the Beijing Waterworks Group for immediate repairs, the Beijing Times reported Tuesday. 

The group said they have received complaints from local residents every winter, that the water used for supplying heat was leaking into the tap water pipes.

The group has warned heating supply companies to isolate the two pipes.
