China's top legislature has released a revised draft charity law on its website to solicit public opinion.
The public can express their views or submit proposals until Jan. 31.
According to revisions to the draft law, China is considering setting up a "charity day" on Sept. 5.
The draft law, submitted for a second reading at the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee's bimonthly session in December, proposed offering greater tax deductions for charitable contributions made by enterprises.
Lawmakers also stressed transparency in charities, suggesting more specific methods for charitable organizations to disclose relevant information.
