To bring some consumer spending home from foreign countries, China will open more duty-free shops and study the reduction of import duties on some products, domestic news portal sina.com.cn reported Monday, citing Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng.
Evaluations are being conducted on the extended zones of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), as well as FTZs in Fujian, Tianjin and Guangdong, and the government will roll out relevant measures based on the evaluation results, Gao said, speaking on the sidelines of the two sessions, according to the report.
