One of Huami Technology's most popular products, the Amazfit bracelet, was officially launched on Chinese online shopping platforms Tmall.com, JD.com and Mi.com on March 29, at the price of 299 yuan ($46).
A conflation of the English words "amazing" and "fitness," Amazfit's exclusive material and jewelry-like design is a refreshing and stylish break from traditional smart wear.
Gao Yuanyuan, a popular Chinese actress, helped design the bracelet. "This product is a smart clock, an alert for incoming phone calls, a pedometer and a sleep monitor, but also a funky accessory that can be used on almost any occasion," said Gao.
"It caters to the user's need for fashion and allows them to enjoy the conveniences that a high-tech product can offer to their lives," she added.
Huang Wang, the founder and CEO of Huami Technology, said that Amazfit's design is a reflection of the idea of "less is more."
"Amazfit has won the iF Design Award 2016 and the Red Dot Design Award 2016, and is recognized worldwide for its refined design," said Huang. "Also, Amazfit's six additional accessories are a good plus for meeting the varied preferences of the users."
With offices both in China and the US, Huami's mission is "to improve people's lives by seamlessly connecting everyone to the Internet of Things world," according to its official website.
