A Changan driverless car left Chongqing on Tuesday for a cross-country test run of more than 2,000 kilometers, which will take five days. If successfully completed, the trip will make the Changan Automobile Co the first Chinese carmaker to finish a long-distance autopilot road test. In the test, high-tech gadgets such as front cameras, laser radars and precise road maps (inset) will help the car avoid traffic. Photo: IC
