About the Expo
International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi'an China
Upon the approval of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and the State Council, the International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi'an will be held in the Chan-Ba Ecological District, Xi'an from April 28th to October 22nd, 2011. The expo is sponsored by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, the State Forestry Administration, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Flower Association. The expo covers a total area of 418 hectares, 188 hectares of which is water area.
The Mascot of the International Horticultural Exposition Xi'an
The primitive image of the Chang'an Flower is actually the city flower of Xi'an, the pomegranate blossom. Hence the pomegranate is the core element of the design shape and the color of the Chang'an flower. In addition, the flower's name is quite easy to remember, features what Xi'an is special for and echoes with the design concept of the exposition emblem. The name of the mascot shares the same meaning as the emblem. Chang'an Flower is welcomed and shown all over China now.

Netizens Visit the International Horticultural Exposition Park
The Xi'an International Horticultural Expo will be held from April 28, 2011 to October 22, 2011 in Xi'an. Netizens can apply to visit the expo park on every weekends since March 19. Once it (Expo) opens officially, the activity will then be held once every two weeks. The first batch of 60 netizens were from 10 websites including huanqiu.com. They recorded what they saw in the park with cameras, DVs and other equipment and share their outcome as well as their experienced ambience with other netizens via forums, blogs and other channels.
